Advertising & Link Exchanges On Australian Travel Emporium

The Australian Travel Emporium group of websites provide opportunities for promoting businesses in the Australian travel and tourism sector.

The types of available advertising, and the advantages of each, are shown below. All of the advertising can be mixed to suit specific needs and we will provide discounts for combination packages.

  Banner Advertising

Banners are only placed at the top of the page where they cannot be missed. The banner ad location is the exclusive property of the advertiser. It is not shared with others by way of rotations or any other sharing techniques. A click on a banner links to the customer's web site.

Banners can contain animations and ticker-tape style of display that provides the viewer with additional information or simple instructions that encouragesa visit your site. We will gladly accept art work from the customers own graphic designers, subject to files size limits and dimension controls.

Banner adverts are placed for a minium of 6 months. They are available in either "short" or "long" format as per the examples below. The cost ranges from $25 per month up to $75 per month depending on the exposure of the page carrying the advert.

  Look 'n Book Advertising

This is a very adaptable form of promotion ideally suited to internet advertising. Not only do the ads incorporate the main image, descriptive text and a pictorial slide show, they also incorporate an extremely important "keyword anchor text"  link to your website. Any competent web master will understand the value of that to the major search engines such as Google, Yahoo! and MSN.

Look 'n Book ads are placed on a per annum basis. Prices are from $20 up to $35 per month, depending on the exposure of the page carrying the ad. The ads are invoiced per annum. The advertiser has first refusal on the next 12 months.

Outback Adventures Extended overland tours for adventure travellers searching for the real Australian experience  inspect image gallery	Promote A Business This example boosts recognition of the company name. The upper part is used for the corporate logo. The lower part provides the keyword link plus 3 or 4 lines of text capturing the key essentials of the business.  Suitable For:   Any enterprise wishing to establish or maintain its brand name in the travel and tourism sector.

  Accommodation Entry

Created specifically for holiday accommodation, resorts etc, these adverts provide a stylish, concise description of features and facilities, a photo slide show to present the property to best advantage and a link to the advertiser's web site. The format works equally well with larger resort and holiday apartment properties as well as smaller properties such as cottages, guest lodges, b&b etc.

These ads cost $45.00 per month, invoiced for a 12 month period. The advertiser has first refusal on the next 12 months.

  Text Advertising

We can offer text advertising blocks as shown in the example below. The ads appear in a high visibility location at the start of the page content and "above the fold". There is a maximum of 4 adverts per block and only 1 block per page. Google Adsense adverts do not appear on pages with a text link block.

The ad location remains your exclusive property for the duration of the ad placement. The location is not shared with other advertisers by way of rotations or any other sharing techniques. A click on the text link takes the viewer directly to your web site.

Text links must be placed for a 12 month period. The existing advertiser has first refusal on the following 12 months.  Prices vary depending on the popularity of the page carrying the advert. Prices start from as low as $10 per month, invoiced for the full 12 month period.

  Article Pages (Free)

Articles are considered by many experienced webmasters to be the most effective way to promote your website. Articles generate both traffic to your site as well as an SEO boost.  They require some effort on your part as you need to write a unique 500-750 word article about your business and send it to us along with a couple of photos or graphic images.

We create a new page on our site with your content and images, add at least two links back to your site, provide an acknowledgement that you are the source and do final SEO on the page.

When considering the article page option, you need to be aware that we will require a link on your site to one of our pages. Not just any old link buried on a page of reciprocals, but rather a link on a page that has solid Page Rank and is specifically about an Australian travel and tourism topic. This criteria is non negotiable.

If you cannot meet that criteria for the link to our site, then you can consider sponsoring the article page for an agreed sum per annum. Email us for a quotation.

  Companion Site Link Exchanges (Free)

We use a "Companion Sites" facility as a footer on each page for the express purpose of exchanging links with other quality Australian travel and tourism websites. Partner Site links allow us to offer the viewer access to relevant resources beyond the scope of our own sites.

Companion Site link exchanges are FREE ... but you must be able to offer us a reciprocal link from an Australian travel and tourism page with at least Google Page Rank 3. Note that it is the page carrying the link to us that must be Australian specific and have the PR3 or better.

Companion Site links are far more effective than having your links buried in over-populated link pages and link directories. They are excellent for SEO purposes and generating increased traffic. They are highly relevant (aka on-topic links), there is a maximum of six Companion Site links on a page (which nearly all have Google PR3 or better), you can specify key word anchor text and you can specify deep links.

Australian sites that can only offer us a low quality link can still request a reciprocal and the link to their site will be entered into the Australian Travel Directory.

  Reciprocal Link Exchanges (Free)

We will consider all link exchange requests where the link to our site is placed on a page that is specifically related to Australian travel and tourism. We will not consider travel and tourism sites that are purely for affiliate sales and have no useful content. Please do not ask us to provide a one way "freebie" link to your site.

If you can offer a relevant link from an Australian page with Google PR3 or better, we will respond with a Partner site link as described above. If your page with the link to us is less than PR3, our reciprocal link will be placed in our Australian Travel Directory.
