There are three important things to take into account when making reservations for holiday accommodation:
High Season is the period around Xmas - New Year, and is usually from around the 20th Dec to 25th Jan. Dates differ between the various regions and dates will also differ between the different properties. 7 night minimum stays are the norm during high season. It is recommended that you book 3-4 months in advance, especially if you require a 3 bedroom apartment. Mid Season is usually the periods of the Easter long week-end, the April school holidays and the Sept - Oct school holidays. 5 night minimum stays are the norm during mid season. It is recommended that bookings be made 2-3 months in advance for the mid season. Low Season is all other dates outside of the high and mid seasons. 3 night minimum stays are the norm during low season although some properties will accept 2 night stays. It is recommended that bookings be made 5-6 weeks in advance. |

Areas such as the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast in Queensland host festivals, events, conferences etc throughout the year that result in increased demand for lodgings at those locations.
