"Britz will not be beaten on quality, service or price" Every Australian campervan rental is automatically insured for damage to the vehicle and to the property of a Third Party. An insurance Excess of $7,500 applies to all Campervans and 4WD's. This amount is debited to your credit card when the vehicle is collected and held as your excess. It is important that your credit card has sufficient funds available so as not to exceed your withdrawal allowance. The Excess applies to each or any incident and not for the length of rental. To provide greater security and peace of mind for their customers, Britz have developed the following options to reduce the Excess liability.
Option 1: The excess is reduced to AU$2500
which is debited to your credit card when the vehicle is
collected.
Option 2: The excess is reduced to Nil for 2WDs and to
AU$440 for 4WDs which is debited to
your credit card when the vehicle is collected.

Option 2 is included if you take the
Britz Bonus

The Britz Bonus Pack Accepted credit cards are Visa, Mastercard and American Express. A non-refundable surcharge of 1.75% will apply to all Visa and Mastercard credit card transactions, with 4.5% applicable to American Express. Credit card surcharges also apply to debited security deposits and only the hirer's credit card is acceptable to use for the security bond. Note: If you have private insurance cover, and you are absolutely 100% certain that the policy covers the type of Britz vehicle you will be renting, then you can opt to use that insurance for your Britz rental. Your Britz booking can then stipulate that you only require the standard excess option.
