About Insurance Options

A vehicle insurance component is included in the rental rate that covers damage to the vehicle and/or the property of a Third Party.  This insurance carries an Excess payable by the hirer in the event of a claim.  The Excess is $7,500 for campervans and 4WD vehicles.

Excess Reduction Options are available that provide for greater peace of mind in return for an increase in the rental cost. The options available for Excess Reduction are:

Campervans And 4WD Vehicles

• Standard Excess : There is no reduction and the full excess of AU$7500 will apply.

• Excess Reduction Option 1: The excess is reduced to $2500. Costs for a 2WD is $20 day and a 4WD is $25 day.

• Excess Reduction Option 2: The excess is reduced to Nil for a 2WD and $440 for a 4WD.  Costs for a 2WD is $38 day and a 4WD is $47 day.

• No Worries Option: An add-on to Option 2 only. Provides cover against accidental damage to the overhead & underbody sections. The prices is a flat fee of $50 for 2WD's and $120 for 4WD's.

Note: The Bonus Pack Component incorporates Excess Reduction Option 2 and the No Worries Option

Excess Reduction costs apply up to and including the first 50 days of rental. There are no additional costs after that period.

At the time of vehicle pick-up the excess amount is held in the form of a credit card imprint.
