Car rentals on the Gold Coast are highly recommended for anyone wanting to get the maximum from their Gold Coast holiday
experience. With an airport pickup and return at either Brisbane
or Coolangatta, there is no need for airport transfers and the
savings from that alone can be quite considerable.
Holiday accommodation on the Gold Coast is more expensive at the
popular central areas such as
Surfers Paradise and
Broadbeach.
By having your own Gold Coast rental car, you have the option of
taking cheaper accommodation outside the central areas, yet
still have access of those same areas with the car. The cost of
the cheaper accommodation plus car rental is often less
expensive than the accommodation in the popular areas.
The best of the Gold Coast hinterland, and nature parks such as
Currumbin Sanctuary, are located at the southern end of the Gold
Coast. The entertainment theme parks are located either on the
northern Gold Coast or on the highway to Brisbane, so having
your own rental car makes these highlights far more accessible.
