South West Tasmania Holidays
This is one of the worlds great untouched wilderness areas and one of the jewels in the crown of Tasmania tourism. It is also a very isolated part of the world and visitors will need to book with the various escorted wilderness adventure operators.
It is a region of pounding, treacherous oceans along the coast and virgin rainforests with wild rivers charging through gorges and ravines. Adventure operators offer flying, hiking, white water rafting, mountaineering, canoeing and caving. Many adventures involve a "fly in - fly out" arrangement.
