 The Never Never RegionThis area
of the Northern Territory extends from the southern boundaries of Kakadu and
Arnhem Land
south to the start of the Barkly Tableland.
There are no major tourist attractions to
speak of, apart from the Katherine area, that are serviced and promoted by the local
tourist authorities. The area has a long history as a cattle raising area and in days long
gone, some cattle properties were larger than some European countries.
