Moama-Echuca - another case of two towns on opposite sides of the Murray River. Echuca on the Victorian side is the better known for its preserved original wharf and public buildings. Moama boasts the Rich River Country club and its well known golf course. Deniliquin - home of superfine Merino wool and a large rice growing centre. The largest rice mill in the southern hemisphere. The Peppin Heritage Centre and the Island Sanctuary to meet some locals. The birdlife at the Gannawarra Wetlands at nearby Barham.
