The story of this domain
In the 2010s, austtravel.com.au was an Australian travel portal for tours, holidays, accommodation, campervans, theme park tickets and holiday dates. That site stopped operating and the domain later lapsed. Aust Travel was relaunched in 2026 as an independent travel planner. Every page has been written from scratch from current official sources. We are not connected with any previous operator of the domain.
How we research
We use official sources: the Department of Home Affairs for visas, the Bureau of Meteorology for climate, state road authorities, national park agencies, state governments for holiday dates and tourism bodies. Each guide lists its sources and the date it was last checked.
We do not invent quotes, statistics or prices. Where we quote an official fee, such as a park pass, we link to the source so you can confirm the current figure.
What we are not
We are not a travel agent or tour operator, and we do not sell travel directly. We are not affiliated with any government agency, park or business named on the site.
How we are funded
Nobody can pay to change our guides. If a page carries ads, affiliate links or a paid listing, it is clearly labelled, and our editorial policy explains how we make money.
